RemodelWest transformed our 1970’s, 1060 sq ft, one-bedroom, space-challenged townhome into a modern and classy living space. The interior was remodeled with emphasis on the kitchen and bathroom to make it more open and allow us to utilize our space more efficiently. The end product of the months-long designing, planning and construction process resulted in what feels like a brand new home.

We contracted with RemodelWest after an extensive search for contractors and design/build companies to remodel what at first was only going to be our bathroom. Bill, the owner, came for the initial walk-through. Of all the contractors we met, we liked and took to Bill the most because of his open, friendly and personable qualities. He listened and understood immediately what we wanted. After talking to Bill in his initial walk-through, and then with him and his designers on a second visit about the possibilities for the rest of our home, the project grew to include our kitchen, fireplace and bedroom. It involved removing walls, raising the ceiling, changing wall-to-wall carpeting to wood floors, switching traditional doors to pocket doors, updating/adding electricals, removing old popcorn ceiling, moving and adding plumbing, installing a sun tunnel, converting an old fireplace to gas, etc.

RemodelWest totally blew away the limited idea of what we thought possible for our home. We are beyond happy with the results. We didn’t really have a clue about what our style was or how to begin to design our home. The designers, Debbie (the lead) and Tara, were very skilled and very patient at guiding us through the whole design process. We commend them for their creativity in imagining configurations for our bathroom and kitchen that not only made the best use of space, but focused on aesthetics and our desire for a modern feel.

Debbie and Tara were able to take their notes from our design meetings and saved images from our Houzz account and translate them into the stunning home we now enjoy. Our home is not only updated and modern, but the flow of the space is amazingly improved and functionally more efficient. Natural light now illuminates the places in our home that used to be in darkness. There is a peaceful and beautiful feel to our entire home.

It was a pleasure to work with each member of the team at RemodelWest. Everyone we worked with reflected the qualities we liked in Bill: easy to work with, pleasant personalities, flexible, patient, calm. We worked with Adam on the overall project and costs. He met with us weekly to keep us updated on the project as well as to discuss any concerns we had. Pat was our hands-on project manager and our liason with the sub-contractors. And equally important is Dan, who is enthusiastic and very skilled at tracking, researching and chasing down various items and vendors.

The best thing we did for ourselves when we decided to remodel our home was choose RemodelWest. We moved out for 6 months and they managed everything without us having to be present. This proved to be especially helpful when we had to turn our focus away from remodeling to deal with family health issues a couple of times. Thanks to RemodelWest, the project kept moving forward without a hitch. We were able to move back in at 6 months end with a few remaining issues. In a couple months time they were resolved.

Lastly, it is important to mention that RemodelWest is a company with integrity and great customer service. They truly want to make sure the home they remodel for you will be the home you love. As with any construction project, there are always aspects and details that could have gone more smoothly. That said, any issue could be brought up at the weekly meeting or in a phone call, and they typically worked to adjust or correct it. We found that they were always willing to work with us.
